My friend Jana created this recipe and gave it to me years ago, swearing me to secrecy since she planned to enter it in an Apple pie contest. We were all sure this pie would win. When I reached out to Jana to ask permission for including this recipe on my site, and asked about whether it had won or not, she txt’d, “It didn’t win. They are idiots“.
