How big of a turkey should I buy? Here’s a handy turkey size calculator that I stumbled on. That being said, I never order anything less than 14-to-16 pounds. My favorite part of the meal is the stuffing and the recipe below does not all fit into a 14 pound bird as it is. There are instructions for cooking what doesn’t fit inside the bird separately, but it’s just not the same.
